平淡平缓，没有剧烈的戏剧冲突感，就连短暂出现的反派都没有露脸。很难说它是末日版的《荒岛余生》还是温情版《我是传奇》，披着科幻末世外衣的公路片，基本上看到中间就知道结局如何了。与其说是电影，更像是加长版的短片。温情脉脉，娓娓道来

剧情基本没有什么槽点，很汉克斯的风格，没有过于激烈的剧情冲突，稳健地讲述出了一场人，机器人，狗的公路旅行。
人制造AI机器人只是为了在过身后照顾宠物狗，实在太善良了；而当末日来临的时候，确实需要这种简单纯真的「圣愚」，如果说人类还有希望则尽在其中。
但是后面为什么能脱下防护服了？高温和辐射怎么也没有了？这个不做解释是不对的。
如果到最后只有机器人和狗可以信任，那才是真的世界末日吧。
温暖的童话永远不会过时。无非是换一个壳子或内胆，重新讲一遍，照样打动人。
