The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 主角和男孩相互救赎的主线引出战争对人的迫害。立意很好，拍得不咋地，四不像。
可惜的是，畸变的画面将创伤展现得很好，理解和爱的说服力则没那么强。
熔炼美国最好的几个导演。紧密嵌套的声画锁匙，所以有一些赘笔也被含入，在电影的齿轮中只顾运进。松散？那是眼睛栖息的地方。
优点和缺点都很明显的一部片子：从视听上讲，艺术程度不低，冷峻和疏离感塑造得很好；从剧情上讲，剧本实在不敢恭维，节奏也很拖沓。不过，奥斯卡在这部片子里也太辣了点，一头灰发冷着脸大吼着把男二推在床上那段我整个人都精神了。

牌场较量很有趣又出彩。
保罗施拉德，拍一部少一部。老派也是双刃剑，迷人的noirfilm开局，监狱哲学，usa信仰破灭，什么时候能砍掉过时的爱情线
以为能看到类似赌神的剧情，看来想多了。。。

真的是完全靠奥斯卡的个人魅力撑起来的一部电影，且他本人还有点面瘫在这里。鱼眼镜头是为数不多的亮点，但也仅限于此。玩牌的部分和主线反战的结合也不是非常紧密，配乐和空镜更是到了滥用的程度…
