Set in 1978, the film marks the fourth joint effort between Monzón and Jorge Guerricaechevarría, and tells the action-packed, adrenaline-fuelled story of 17-year-old Nacho Cañas, an introverted student who lives in Girona and who is something of a misfit. When he meets El Zarco and Tere, young delinquents from the city’s Chinatown district, he gets caught up in a love triangle that leads him to indulge in an unrelenting onslaught of thievery, burglary and hold-ups that will change his life forever. The film is the chronicle of the summer during which Nacho experienced his first love and came of age, constantly crossing the boundary between two worlds, and overstepping the line that exists between right and wrong, between justice and injustice.

杰昆真的是治愈系演员，感觉他很喜欢这一类性格的边缘化角色，有着感性温柔的内心，有着自己的脆弱，just trying to understand others , like all of us.常常会忍不住和他的角色产生共鸣，觉得那简直就是自己。
松散、舒缓、清淡。全片的表达的是情绪性、私人的。“当生活给你许多挑战，你只有cmon，cmon，cmon”。叔侄两人在公园中的发泄令人动容，影院一片抽泣声。声音是绝对的主角：音乐、采访、叔侄的连接。观看当天的版本画面发紫，我觉得不如更纯粹一些的黑白。
小孩怎么可以演得那么好~与其说“演”更多的跟这个“记录”形式很贴合，人与人的关系其实都是通过沟通去形成去改变，以及充斥着的年轻一代的各种想法，很诗意，但需要很安静地区欣赏~孩子总是思维自由但成年人……

要讲的东西蛮有感触的，在回顾自我的时候绕不开的是童年，是父母，也总会把自己的缺陷归结于父母的教育。而在现实面前脆弱的无力应对的成人也很容易在面对孩子时展现出自己的控制欲，想要把孩子塑造成自己“理想中的人”，但却很难真正去贴近孩子的内心理解孩子的想法，也无法真正展现对孩子的尊重。而反过来孩子也会在这样的家庭环境中产生对自我的疑惑，逐渐迷失人格。社会的冷漠就这么渗透到家庭了，一定程度上和伯格曼的“随血脉传递的焦虑”“人在成长的过程中就是带上各种面具”是一致的。

cute yes，但是你真的要蜻蜓点水cross generation的沟通和人与人之间的理解和沟通，那就是a white man and a white man to be do stuff together, 挺无聊的。
华金凤，这个人就是给你扑面而来的孤独感，骨子里面的孤独，我的天啊！！！！
虽然没有旁白，但片中读的那些书、做的那些访谈、录的那些环境音（所谓“使不朽”）、日记性质的自述、平添忧郁的黑白画面，都让人想起泰伦斯·马利克式的（故作）深沉。片中所有受访者都是真实出镜即兴发挥（包括一个后来被枪杀的叫布莱恩特的黑人小男孩），这倒挺适合方法派的华金·菲尼克斯。不知道这种亦幻亦真的骚操作是不是受了去年《无依之地》的启发。
