剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it?     看完不会觉得票价亏也是挺难得的。虽然犯人中途基本get到，但后半程的剧情也没有太扯，平平稳稳终结都成了稀奇样（剧场版本来就是用来吸金的说emmmm）以及，还是有非常扯的地方，嘛发明一下新材质新装备也不是不可

    與短篇前作《I Am Easy To Find》的創作方向相近，戲中訪問部份更可呼應導演紀錄片舊作《Paperboys》，或可溫暖人心的簡單創作。印象中這是Joaquin Phoenix 第一次在銀幕上成為「爸爸」角色，演過充滿戾氣《Joker》之後，擔起這Part-time 爸爸角色，與Woody Norman的對手戲令他氣質也變得不一樣，是的，電影大多時候依靠Joaquin 和Woody之間對話進行，錄音和姊姊找老公都是其次，Joaquin 和Woody 正是上演一場疫情後的《Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance:》，關於生命中的不安，如何面對、如何抉擇、說這是通俗化（雖然他的形式上接近Essay Film)《The Human Voice》也無不可，借由聲音讓自己和世界連結。喜歡其中一段話（大約）「fuck the word ，you can yelling, you can angry, Actually, you can be dissatisfied with the world。」
