The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 结尾的总结陈词一下子让我想起《辩护人》一下子戳中了泪框，而电影里展示的集会时与警察们的对持又难以不想到19年的香港。虽是七君子，但电影中心主要是彼此看不上的两位以及一位黑人身上，通过他们窜起庭审的同时窜起了游行，庭审的结尾同样也是游行的高潮，这种叙事很棒。自由从来都是争取来的！

剧本质量不错，表演只能说一般水准吧。换个牛逼导演，这片子应该会更好看。

事件发生在1968年美国大选前夕，后来尼克松战胜约翰逊当选了总统；影片上映于今年9月份，同样是大选之际。艾伦·索金再次对时事精准把脉，投射奥斯卡喜好的左派立场，把反战、左派、自由派、嬉皮文化、民权运动、政治倾轧一股脑融汇于这部酣畅的庭审剧，用他精湛的编剧、凌厉的剪辑和一众演技派的热血群戏。很写实很民主太灯塔。

Over dramatized, over political, over biased. The editing is not good either.
有些国人看本片可能会看high，倒不是因为所谓的理想主义，而是终于为自己身边发生的事情找到了合理性：老美不也没有民主，天下乌鸦一般黑！问题是，在政治面前，民主都是笑话，但这也是有程度之分的。反正我看着人家的混乱，再看看自己井然有序的生活，略感汗颜。

最后，我想看Borat大叔把小雀斑按在墙上酱酱酿酿，然后小雀斑疯狂挣扎（。）
艾伦索金式爽片是真的爽，爽到想再刷一遍news room。曾经的故事还在世界的大地上发生着，但好像这样的“反抗”越来越少。
反战思潮、嬉皮文化、五月风暴，那是“整个世界都进入了青春期”的六十年代。
“怎么样才是你所认为的和平解散并推倒你的政府”
本片要抗争的东西我感觉离七君子原本的诉求还是有点区别的，他们原本的诉求是反越战，但是本片实际争取的是发声权、抗争的是政治打压。
