The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 不评价，反正不好看。但这个大叔也太帅了吧，痛苦与荣耀里他就很帅啊，烈焰焚币他年轻的时候更帅到惨绝人寰。
只要男女主角选得好，再普通的圣地巡礼都成立
北村匠海到底为什么一直在被推？演技也没有很好，整个人一直都怂男形象还不好看配谁都不行！ 本来应该是一开头就弃的电影，因为黑岛结菜我忍到了最后。
这一段也太美好了吧，重要的是享受每一段的美好相遇。黑岛结菜清新感十足，可惜就是太瘦了（一眼认出左津川爱美，可惜怎么都是这种角色，明明很可爱嘛）
本来觉得男主发病的几场戏处理更风格化一点可能比较好，比如我都能想到第一人称手持晃到你想吐的长镜头+霓虹灯光污染+迷幻摇滚配乐；不过转念一想这种平衡就很微妙，本片琐碎一点像肥皂剧，弄成《金属之声》那样又会让人犯嘀咕有卖惨之嫌，何况臆病确实也更难把握一点。建议给Sbaraglia颁发一个“基佬之友”敬业大奖，不仅接的多，戏里戏外各种营业那叫一个卖力

同性题材黏糊糊，主人公精神乱糟糟，亲情讲述无论如何无法共情，40分钟就想弃掉
小而精良，很难见到包袱抖得这么自然的喜剧片了
pps 虽然我忍着牙疼看了一部乏味的电影，但是主角们的演技都还行，加一分
模范人生没有固定模板，中年角色身份乱成一团。没有捷径可走的时候，酒精就是人生捷径。这部电影献给每一个不想搞砸一切的中年人。
看到一半发现不是甜甜恋爱，是爱上已婚少妇的迷茫青春😂

其实前半段还是不错的，还以为是凌晨版本的《花束》。后面就拉垮了

他描述初恋那一段，羞涩得似乎又成为那个十几岁的少年，很动人。
磨寶推薦的電影，很能理解磨喜歡這部電影，但劇情過於男主視角，後半段不再是「若者たち」而是「若者」了
真的好看我叔演技真的很好看了之后特别心疼叔在里面的角色他最爱的女儿最后也离开他了，他的妈妈也去世了，他的爱人也不在搭理他，到后来就剩他一个人在原来的地方，他只不过想有一个好好爱他的人罢了，多次寻找和别人约他都是一夜情之后被无情的抛弃，这部电影叔的尺度真的相当大呀，叔都下海三次了，真的他的颜值年轻的时候就该多拍些同志片哈哈，这部电影评分这么低真的是没有想到，反正我是觉得超级好看，把一个父亲对女儿的爱演的超级好，又把一个中年同志渴望得爱情遇见真爱确每次都不如自己的愿全部演出来了
总而言之还看得下去。一些小桥段的设计，颇有意思，像浓缩电视剧的电影。北村有一种不愿做“小三”的可怜气质，蛮少有的。
