The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 你可能想问，这么多大牌亚当麦凯拿来拍什么？A totally fucking shity story as fuck as the reality.经过2020新冠，《降临》和《火星救援》描画的人类社会危机应对能力都算乐观了，更别指望《2012》和《后天》这样标准叙事能出现绝大部分国家和地区。亚当麦凯打破灾难片传统，《不要抬头》里，大规模自然灾难不再是主角，而是人类社会由于自己深陷各种治理机制障碍和冲突带来的灾难级应对。这片子看得让人不轻松，因为现实提供这部片子完美的“4D体验”。这片子不是喜剧，分明是post-covid19 纪录片。扣分项，糟糕的剪辑和配乐。
除了对我不好，其他都挺好的。圣刃有太多的遗憾，因为疫情没有拍成的正统剧场版，却有了作为外传存在的唯一剧场版。。。无奈又有一丝宿命感的味道。。。
有趣有趣有趣，幹這麼玩轉political leaders，嘲諷科技商人，最後結局耶頗值得玩味的黑色幽默電影近年來太少啦！甜茶最後虔誠pray的樣子好心水，愛了愛了！
好猛。卡士猛、讽刺猛。不了解美國政治、經濟、娛樂、社會，看不太懂吧？
设定令我想起伊藤润二的《地狱星》，一是命名一是总统坐飞船去太空。一班演员都演得不错，在各自相对单薄的角色上（毕竟是6个月时间设定）给予了具有厚度的表演，这种表演给人物带来了别样的魅力，每个人角色几乎都离不开这个饰演的演员本身的魅力，小李子在于声音的塑造，切糕在于妆容的塑造，梅姨非常适度的控制了惯用表情，美中不足的是詹妮弗劳伦斯已经不再是凯特尼斯了，她和她的角色令我觉得是有点停滞的，虽然起手她演得很好。我喜欢这个很当下的电影，虽然是一个科幻的设定，但是它拍的就是此刻。

2022.1.9 因为豆瓣8.7的高分来看 看完很失望 反正对我这种没看过这个系列的人肯定是不友好的 首先这片子没有起因 直接开始讲述 导致我前1/4部分看得云里雾里的 后面才看懂 但还是不知道为啥女主会和那个小巨魔互换身体啊？其实是很简单的故事 互换了身体 妈妈照顾小巨魔 女主享受了几天大力 快活的日子 但也想变回去 找了个被关在很多铃铛里的山丘之王 帮助他找回眼睛逃了出来 以为要开战 其实是一个巨大的巨魔在他们城市底下 所以你为什么要呆在地下。。为了保护他们就从来没有起来过 乌鱼子了
唯一的缺点就是短，篇幅不够描写伦太郎和贤人这两条线，显得仓促了点，但瑕不掩瑜，整体基调跟托马老师线几乎完美，后者直接超神，是一个值得与一看的假面最佳外传之一
看的时候一度想哭！
本片是近几年好萊塢相當成功的一部政治喜劇，編導演俱佳，兩個多小時內絕無冷場，有几場戲更是爆笑十足，娛樂性十足，思考性滿分。編導在政治正確的安全範圍內，不遺余力地嘲諷了美國右翼，特朗普以及其支持者，包括陰謀論者，政界，科技新貴，傳媒，群眾等無一倖免。彗星撞地球雖然隱喻氣候變化的危機，但代入當下疫情影響或者极權政治，極端宗教，貧富差距以及人類過於依賴科技等所帶來的危機，也並不可，這種任人解讀的空間之大，可見編導拍得非常聰明，對美國政府只顧眼前利益不顧潛在隱患的諷刺更是盡顯編導的失望至極。
黑得不错。但善于自嘲并不能使人类更智慧，这是两码事。
剧情相当扯犊子，立意没什么新意。老生常谈。
非常优秀的剧本。善与恶就好像光与影一样互相依存，人的本性都是自私的，一心只沉浸于自我的世界里往往便是恶念的开端，能以自己遭受的苦难推己及人感同身受已非凡人，在此之上若能背负起他人的罪恶执行救赎，便是英雄。（小演员演技真好，内藤桑特写的眼神变换镜头非常惊艳）
又是一个基友变成爹的故事，话说原来阿拉丁神灯最早不是出自一千零一夜，看个假面骑士还能学点这种能出去吹逼的知识
想给五星了，好吧鼓励五星一下拉拉分数。8.4/10。
圣刃最后一部剧集吧，看过的假面骑士剧场版文戏最多的一部，印象中最深刻的伦太郎父亲是真的帅，最后mv片尾曲三主角是真的帅。
首先必须要说，这次ov外传的镜头语言和电影质感与TV本篇和（大范围上映且在上映半年后才出资源的）剧场版拉开了很大差距，一方面是只有ov这个规模的作品可以给导演更多的空间施展，另一方面是上堀内自身实力的成熟。伦太郎的天降系老爸、贤人的恋人、飞羽真的好友其实跟龙我外传的女主一样，都是主角群鞭长莫及没能保护到的普通人。但是跟龙我外传女主的直接被伤害者身份+最后还是被英雄拯救不同，这次的三人是目睹至亲至爱的逝去+拥有了与剑士对抗的力量。当然三者的结局还是有瑕疵，但是比龙我外传的生硬转折要好很多（看短评有人提到逆转未来才发现好像是有点像）。另外由于戏份分配的原因，原以为重点在有了新道具的贤人那边结果并不是（以往的外传都是有新道具的是主角）。最后，东映不考虑来个导演评论音轨吗，挺想知道导演的个人看法。
