The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 十二位主演，每人至少分饰两角。真是太厉害了，不论是演技还是舞台设计。结局伴奏团的单独表演也很棒。果然Me and the sky在最高潮处，真的好听。
在911二十周年之际、疫情之后的今天看这次官摄比第一次旁观者的视角更能感同身受。第一首歌开始就想哭，焦虑、无助恐惧和不安到被治愈，全程跟唱的Me and the Sky，还是好喜欢CFA。遗憾2020年因为疫情没办法成行的巡演，still “honor what was lost，but we also commemorate what we found”。

最精彩的无疑是女机长的自白之歌。还是挺感动的，但作为一部音乐剧，说话太多歌曲太少，然后每个演员都担任好几个角色稍微有些混乱。还可以吧，但没什么惊艳之处。

真正需要我们重视的东西，在come from away里面就展现出来了，灾难后，也许世界没有变得更好，歧视和战争还在，但我们更应该向这些islanders学习，不去想权谋和观点的碰撞，只有you’ve done the same. 经历过疫情发生的小城，当地人以自己的方式，不忍心医护人员吃泡面，从自家备好鸡鸭给他们送去。are we going to do the same?
后半段很棒。所有演员的功底都超扎实。喜欢机长的Solo

看完之后又去回顾了下911事件 窒息和难受
那演技让我觉得不止12个人
太感动了。就靠几把椅子让观众面前出现了那么多不同的画面。
无与伦比。完美的舞台剧。
19年买了票，20年全部演出取消，21年终于看到，大家都是来自远方，也欢迎远方。

题材很吸引人，从音乐剧的角度来说既没有抓我耳朵的歌，剧情也缺乏节奏。虽然演员都很卖力，但是有限的人数加上很小的舞台感觉局限性还是很大。
塑造了一群热情友善的小镇居民。被文化输出了。
