The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 作为一个政治审判，比一般的庭审更复杂。可惜带有倾向性的主题，并没有表达清晰，各方面都不太站得住，大法官也没有明显做错什么，辩护律师执着的原因也没铺垫清楚，很多桥段设计太过戏谑，看了让人并不舒服。既不严肃又不荒诞，更不深入，纯粹是简单煽动和渲染革命的合理性，我不支持。
这部电影展现的叙事合剪辑技巧真的是教科书中的教科书
冲着六十年代，和艾伦·索金（《社交网络》《点球成金》《史蒂夫·乔布斯》的编剧）看的这部电影。还是他擅长的真实历史事件，讲述了1968年7名反战人士因未经批准举行抗议活动而被捕，随后接受政治审判的故事。“七君子审判”成为60年代民权运动的重要事件。
这种片我觉得商业元素很足，冲突、快节奏、背景丰富、反讽黑色幽默，毫无困意看完2小时长篇，题材还是这种历史政治事件。

用了大量的蒙太奇使叙事有节奏和趣味性，每个人物的性格都很张扬，演员演得很好。政治意义大于故事本身吧。

导演的场景调度能力好强！前面半个小时，我一直在想为什么要看这个？后面越来越投入！节奏快，思路清晰！

顶到脑门儿的压迫感，句句申辩刻入灵魂。最令人惋惜的是电影的结尾，当观众不如角色般坦然面对获刑时，一反整部电影冷峻压抑的风格来了场热血狂欢，过于突然。对小雀斑的表演不是很满意，但这可能是由于戏骨聚众的关系。

给6星。今年白宫暴动又上演了。1.在麦卡锡出现前黑豹党没有被肃清时，也是难得一见的想要copy我们国家红色政权的革命组织。2.爆炸头其实非常聪明。3.居然看到了金斯伯格出境。青春期最喜欢他的诗《howl》了。4.美利坚想要缓和资本集团利益和无产阶级的矛盾，就对外发动战争，把无产阶级搞到前线去牺牲，然后抢夺来的利益部分分配给无产阶级以缓和阶级冲突遭到了强烈反抗。5.以列侬为反战斗士被枪杀落幕的时代。垮掉的一代。6.穷命贵。7.在西方的海洋强盗文化里永远找不到答案，在东方文化里有了回答。
片尾曲缓缓唱道“let us make a world in which I believe”, sounds attempting but how selfish, and unfortunately this has always been the American ideology.
