剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though

    我个人还是挺喜欢的，虽然故事里有些细节还是看了解析才明白，依然是导演惯常的美丽诡异文艺范儿，整个光影和衣饰配色都非常美，拍得非常诗意，同时也导致将主线这个最终成长为真正骑士的简单故事搞得有些假大空。个人体会就是如果能沉浸进影片营造的氛围里还是会挺受用的，另外Dev Patel在片子里的状态太好了，非常有质感。三星半吧~

    【Ralph Ineson的映前导赏又有用又可爱~】莫名对标的是好几个有着接近背景的作品：《天命之咒》、Taron版《罗宾汉》、Fuqua04版《亚瑟王》….无一滑铁卢。繁复的大场面和高昂的制作投入虚有其表，却总是忽视了角色“现代性”行动逻辑与时代的格格不入。然而这里却是个全然不同的故事，角色自己的历程与道德式剖析在其中紧密相扣，并不急于快进到更为直观的结果与转折。观众可以知道TA所了解之外的，而导演也清楚自己要在“之外的”做怎样的开拓。但恨不得辱骂A24宣发，Dev Patel的下一提怕是要被你吃了。
