The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 回忆杀！我发现许多情节我至今都历历在目。并且传统sitcom真的是一种结合戏剧、standup comedy和电视的一种arts，挺有技术含量的，也非常适合人来疯，感觉是个dream job。
又看了B站一些分析视频我大受震撼。整个EVA相当于是一个以动画为载体，神学为背景，心理学为支撑的大型心理治疗。心理治疗就是需要把内心的痛点找到然后拿出来正视它剖析它接纳它才可能被治愈。《终》即为如此，还有什么疙瘩通通掘地三尺这次都解开！
少年的残酷成长史，是庞大的人类史诗演义，也是个体小小的内心秩序重建。
新的世代新的意识形态塑造出一个不同的EVA，相比于真心为你具有冒犯性质的具有强烈撕裂感的动画现实影像的切换，终明显是走向完全不同的更加柔和的，蔡国强选择回到泉州完成天梯、坂本龙一在福岛地震后选择回归自然、庵野秀明就选择了回归日常生活，这一次的切换与收束显得轻盈了
gaga好可爱哦~编剧最后极其平淡地点出了一个，我们经常回避但却是铁一样的事实：人生总有一个阶段，你的朋友就是你的家人，而当你们各自有了家庭后，它自然而然地就结束了。
这是真·对中二年代的告别，是庵野自己最好的补完，而我们也能欣喜地看到真心为你这个残酷结局之后，与过去和解的另外一种结局。前半的丽后半的香以及最后的真波，故事依旧有那么多漏洞，设定依旧那么装逼，但最后我扔忍不住站起来喝彩，坐在电车旁的，何不是长大了的我们。
最终 所有人最后 都有了归处 长成大人了 也没什么不好吧 :)
再见了，所有的福音战士。其实是个非常合适的结局，从三十年前无人能够理解自己的孤独走向了三十年后带着孤独接受自己接受世界的和解与自我救赎，真嗣绫波明日香庵野和我们都经历了成长啊。ps美里真女神！我哭了！pps美里一个人开着飞船的配乐是用的卡农做低音。ppps还是一样的线稿还是一样的味道，特摄风那一段的超现实的虚假质感太给劲了。
虽然在心底知道他们并非真正地在现实中成了朋友，他们的重聚只是为了每人几百万的出场费，这次重聚，他们遮不住的隔阂，时有时无的疏远，我看在眼里了，但看到他们坐在一起，躺在一张沙发上，还是很感动，有些东西就是献给回忆的，老友记的魅力就是这么强。很糟糕，但你会爱死它的，就像生活。
