The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 短平快的轻科幻惊悚片，并且结合了如疫情，AI监控，女性议题，资本阴谋等等当代焦虑，大部分时间里节奏不错，就是最后的反杀高潮开挂感比较强，算是索德伯格一蹶不振之后这些年不错的作品了
工作内容
前50分钟拍得相当精彩！整体来看必然有因篇幅所限而不尽如人意之处，但索德伯格对后疫情时代的故事探索值得高看，后疫情社恐、智能家居时代的道德之殇、万物交互后的时空连接，很多浅尝辄止的部分都可以继续发展为风貌不同的电影故事。相当大胆的一部作品。
俗套的叙事模式。但因为以新冠疫情为时代背景，又指涉了人工智能、大数据监控等时代因素，加之独立电影般的简单的制作方式和语言风格，才使它略微值得一看。

智能音响也可以用作杀人武器，用悬疑故事再一次讲述对于现代科技的反思，部分镜头很有意思，例如耳机的效果，出门的急促感，挺有意思的。
比较好地展示了技术的两面性，酷不酷主要看掌握在谁手里和用来干嘛
