The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 上手一定会懵圈，没头没脑地布拉布拉布拉。展望未来与着眼当下，间中不经意地去触碰过去。碎片散落在空间和时间的不同维度，会奇妙而诡异地慢慢拼揍起来。强尼眼中有个没长大的成人，杰西看到的是满脸胡渣的孩童；从陌生到熟悉，通过摸索彼此的局部渐渐找到了更完整的自己。米尔斯导演绵里藏针，化腐朽为神奇。小伍迪很有灵气，跟影帝对戏丝毫不落下风。

具有强迷惑性的概念匹配——假想父亲对照失职母亲、城市氛围映衬人物境遇、大小演员的成熟表演方法与紧密对白节奏形成代际对抗，在欲扬先抑中水到渠成，交付某种普世且“当下”的亲密关系。So Boring！感觉当代好莱坞作者把力气全部用在了如何不声不响地掩饰说教，让作品的爹味显得没那么冲。

恰好在看此片之前，观看了韩国电影《姐弟的夏夜》。差不多的题材，相比之下，此片相当不成功。韩片将身段放得很低，趣味横生，且能从中窥见生活中的惊涛骇浪。而此剧则端着架子，似乎有着更多的文人气。整片絮絮叨叨，无趣且不动人，又故意拍成黑白片，更显做作。导演似乎不愿结束此片，最后还像做年终总结似地，将整个故事回顾一遍。对儿童的教育及如何与他们相处，影片中所展示的，也许过于放纵了。对孩子立规矩，恐怕对于剧中男孩更为需要。
犯人出场五分钟基本就能猜到，最后还是靠足球和皮带拯救世界
