The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. Cliché rom-com but i love it
整片浓浓说教劝你找个老实人，还有不必要的尖酸和骚味，把同志拍得这么刻板母拉拉也是一种旧观念了。只有渣男能看，其余演技尴尬。
冲着杨伯文看的，没想到收获的是21世纪喜剧钙版傲慢与偏见。缺点和优点同样显著，一边疯狂叠梗一边自我吐槽，对流行文化和种族、性向、阶级差等进步叙事的拿捏像极了手法熟练但水平有限的同人产出，包括“其它人都是妖艳贱货只有我是白莲花”的梗俗到了极致。一切都不妨碍Fire Island成为很长时间以来让我笑得最开心的爱情喜剧，谢谢JKB毫无保留地、超大声地写出这个在酒池肉林中寻找真爱的老套故事。实现了我很久以来的一个猜想，Gay rom com真的可以这么拍，全世界通行的爱情套路可以经过再创作、摈除旧时代和异性恋霸权的糟粕之后完美套用在任何性向的关系上，让人心动的内核不会变，不管是女性向的腐剧还是男性向的gay romance。另外，钙版达西的演员实属我的茶！
