The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 本片顯然具有香港本土色彩，在大陸長達三年才通過的審查得以在網絡平台播放，又得以在香港上映。該片由富商女兒被殺的案件開始，從中牽連了地產商，政党，新聞媒體以及腐敗的警察等，主要針對是隻手遮天下的在建政黨的野心，編導武戲文拍，用大義凜然的姿態批判了司法界的僵化，如今看來滿是唏噓，透露了香港多年來政商的微妙關係，容易對號入號。
脸皮薄的人，当不了“好”律师。不会忽悠的人，赚不了“大”钱………反正我做不到
抹黑香港警察和政府官员，给香港律师涂脂抹粉。当然香港政界也是垃圾满地

这电影应该前两年就要准备上的，不知道什么原因一直压着，不如预期，缅怀智叔。

其实节奏还可以，但整体看下来，就是中规中矩的一部作品。

现在的港片又到了需要强心剂的年代，后劲愈发不足了。这不仅仅是编剧的事情，更是包括剪辑在内一众团队都需要思考的问题。

阵容还是不错的，剧情也是有些想法的。但整体制作，真就只能当网大看了。包括有几个年轻演员的表演，也是不太行。
