The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 尤为喜欢影片的风格，美术设计、画面、音乐与神秘未知的元素，有种回到小时候最开始听冒险故事的感觉。但是全片节奏迷离，有故弄玄虚的嫌疑，加上文化上的差异，很多体现在细微处的表达都被忽略了，如果开始我就知道国王是亚瑟王时看的时候就不一样了。

7.9 画面和配乐都很精美，只是这么简单个事真没必要拍这么长。
老外的构思已经枯竭了？拍的这个是什么？一个印度人继承了亚瑟王？是在搞笑吗？是英国籍男演员，还是新锐演员，怎么不找个黑人演？全电影没有带入感，剧情也糊里糊涂.......这电影怎么过审的？

因为没有背景而看得一知半解。但前半部分灰白中凋亡一代文学大师、送别和平年代，迎来欧洲分崩离析的那些别扭的、撕扯的记忆，高至诺奖获奖者也需要漫长等待才能魂归故里。也因此对这个作家和他的《钉子》起了兴趣。

有诗意，没深度，这么简单一个故事能拍俩小时也是不容易。
文艺风格的剧情片。适合文青吹逼，至少能通过本片了解史诗级的原著。故事晦涩，节奏巨慢，竭尽所能故弄玄虚，浪费了镜头所营造的悬疑与史诗感。
