The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 有点沉重的话题却拍得很喜感，三谷登场的那段太搞笑了，没想到看上去普通的日本家庭生活如此艰难，结局却有点理想化了～
我看到结尾真的想说…这就是合租公寓投资拍得长片公益广告吧？啊？！！！不过我还是哭了，泪点太低有啥办法儿嘞
还挺有趣的 卡司真的不错 好多熟面孔 如果老年生活真的可以share house真的很理想呢 虽然有点过于理想化

中年人太难了 太逗了啊
各种要花钱的小插曲不断出现，也是每个家庭多少都会遇到的问题，最后还是一个比较完美的结局，当然自己的房子没了。
天海佑希演中年 家庭女性没啥说服力，看到五郎就会自动脑补洗锅以的画面~~~虽然形式挺轻松的，但是越看越闹心，没有一个顺心的，人到中年真的是很多时候有够无奈的，鸡毛蒜皮一地鸡毛，只能硬着头皮顶着上
人到中年双双失业，刚好命中近期失业潮焦虑，虽然片子没有切实可行的结局方案也没有逆风翻盘但却意外的搞笑和治愈。毕竟生活方式有那么多呢～
前半部分毕竟贴合实际很接地气，代入感相对不错，可后半部分却变成了宣扬日本主旋律核心价值观的宣传片，还搞了一个老套的所谓“生前葬礼”桥段，平淡乏味说教目的明显，最后的总结更像是给“养老合租房”做软广告推广，给你一种被骗着看了一个多小时“公益广告”的错觉。
虽然喜剧片，结局也过于理想，看的时间依然焦虑的算起了存款
喜剧电影的黑色幽默，养老真的能如电影结局那么皆大欢喜吗？
虽然偏漫画风格的开端和穿插不是很喜欢，不过还是很爱这种节奏和后来高能的“大泉健三骗取养老金案”，犊子两口子人性相当好，丈夫对家庭的“四个意识”都很强，婆婆虽然不是省油的灯，不过也不属于作妖派的，最后的寿宴装扮气质连它们的徳仁皇后雅子和明仁上皇后美智子都达不到呢，还得是戏骨出马才能撑起那不错国的尊严。
还是把一个普遍的问题变成了主角的个人问题然后潦草解决了
故事还算顺，用不到这么大的女主，老太太真专业，撑的很满
对谁来说都是很棒的结局！所以啊，还是要有房子的，不然怎么养老或者变现
包裹着喜剧糖衣的现实恐怖片，可惜我们都没有“share house”这条出口，其实连日本人自己也没有。老了之后怎么办这件事变得具象又清晰，这个“老”不是片中80岁还任性的婆婆，也不是50岁才开始焦虑存款的主妇，而是一旦跨过30岁就切实体会的压力与焦虑，一条一条，一项一项。
氛围很轻松 结尾不现实 有个好婆婆 其他人也没给家里添什么麻烦 就这样还要卖掉房子养老
非常精彩，符合我的口味。松重丰与绫田俊树，这是从《深夜食堂》「情侣档」演到如今的「父子档」了？一众喜剧咖倾情加盟，演技惊人。众星捧月之下，天海佑希果然游刃有余彻底爆发（话说怎么越长越像男的）。电影还是客观反应了人到中年必然滋生的一种年龄焦虑与养老焦虑，嬉笑怒骂中对于家庭关系与婆媳、亲子、夫妻等内容的探究也精准有趣。三谷幸喜的登场眼前一亮，很精彩，推荐推荐。
看完之后发现爸妈经常念叨的那句"不指望你给我养老照顾好自己就行"原来是对我最大的仁慈。。。
经典日式温暖喜剧了。这种风格和直上直下的大转折只有日本人来做才能这么自然吧
