The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 画面的气质比想象中没有那么西部片，至少地点放在西部。
如果能拍到《老无所依》那种气氛就好了，人家男主捡到钱当晚就跑路，老坑利你捡了钱也不会跑，也不会灭口，还救了个同党，我在屏幕看都知道你傻，不顾自己也顾一下儿子啊，还说自己是老江湖……这编剧就编得有点过分忽悠观众了。
吃惯了添加剂的新人类，突然间吃朴素的食物可能不习惯，所以他们要掀桌子……

西部片的还魂，非常简单老派的故事，但就是男主这种老糙汉形象丰满了人物。
人物塑造相当成功，瘦削干瘪，一个眼角耷拉着。
很好的故事设计，既延续了传奇（或重新演绎了传奇），又隐喻了现实，一举两得。决战场面的设计很精彩，结尾的反转也恰到好处。近年来难得好看的西部片。
满满的西部风情，男主造型非常独特，很生活化，人物大都是脏兮兮的，拍得比较写实，没有一般西部片那种耍帅耍酷，但故事还是比较老套。
好喜欢，很久没看这么有感觉的西部片了，片尾曲很好听
非常现代的西部片拍法，那种现代社会对老西部的迷之憧憬挥散不去，反应到电影里最具象化的表现就是儿子和父亲的矛盾冲突了。不过拍法虽然是现代西部，但依旧没有创新，甚至连构图都和近几年的西部片无差。比利小子的梗玩到现在。
这才是生活的现实与生命的真实。
