台词是《爱在三部曲》暗黑版，镜头和《梦之安魂曲》一样迷幻，男主是《阿飞正传》德国进口，汤姆希林身上有一股詹美和戴涵涵影子。

影片的服装、道具、场景艺术设计风格鲜明，描述出德国魏玛共和国时期的各种风貌。影片还穿插了大量的黑白纪录片影像，来证实这个社会背景的真实性，显示出开始动荡的德国社会。
三个小时的电影，也能一口气看完，这部片子确实牛！过往岁月的恢宏背景，放下了立体饱满的男主角和各色人物，真的是一部好电影，抵过活三年。

从数学上来说，这是一次零和交易，两个人拥有的金额与之前相同，但善意不会因此抵销，
与其说是看电影，不如说像是在欣赏影响化的文学作品，琐碎絮叨又散发着脆弱迷人的气质，台词都非常文学性。印象最深的是男主写给女主试镜用的独白信，以及二人隔着玻璃的那个吻，看到中间就能预感到结局应该是悲剧的，但至少悲剧是发生在纳粹上台之前，仍保有一丝的美好。
不管怎样，生活是最有趣的工作。
心爱的人还在餐厅等他，而法比安到死也没有学会游泳。明明相爱的人总是要分开，奇妙的爱情。
