The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 原作就是一个单纯的幽默喜剧，而翻拍版加入了更多的政治正确主流元素，尤其强调家庭元素，因此娱乐性有所降低。不过妈妈葬礼上男主的悼词还是挺打动人的。
2.对王丹妮没信心，一直穿插梅艳芳真人录影，一开始还搞个电视机，后面干脆直接缩小画幅，有那么多录影带干脆直接纪录片嘛。
有些细节是OK的，很多剧情推动还是要从人性方面来推动的。
感觉这导演还有点野心，想把梅艳芳的传记片拍成一部展现历史的、香港城市精神的，同时又映射当下时代的电影，可惜还差点火候。演张国荣的男生完全不像本人，关锦鹏冒出来的时候全场惊讶，令人感动的都是传主本身。
