The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这是中国元素最多的一部漫威电影。娱乐性非常强。就娱乐电影和当前中美电影合作的出路来说，这部电影无疑是最成功的的！故事来说，就当前评论的人来说，都是跳着看，没看完的。满大人最后被恶魔吸走了灵魂，跟他们一家子没关系。故事主要讲尚气认识自己，成为英雄的人生历程，满大人说的是对的，他不放下十环，爱人就不会死。他虽然有权力，有十环，但心里还是有爱的，只是被恶魔蛊惑，放弃是他自己的选择，不放弃还能追求什么呢？这是我看漫威这么多年来，华人主演最多的，说国语最多的，中国元素最多的一部美国最卖座的娱乐大片！值得观看和收藏！希望以后中美电影有更大更多的合作！
文化恐怖谷效应，明明在演中国的故事，可是感觉和自己一点关系也没有。
像真人版功夫熊猫，还是三部融合在一起的功夫熊猫。配乐出色打戏扎实，英语普通话交错也有点fresh off the boat的搭配感。如果这都是乳化那建议好莱坞可以放弃拍任何有关中国的电影，如果大陆电影院上映那一定会去影院再支持。
女主这个角色除了搞笑以外没有任何用处
倒不难看，漫威大套，全按着美式来的中国风与奇幻秀，角色粗糙干瘪又带中二自黑，看得出为了迎合市场做的改变。一切的重点都在彩蛋，将尚气引入宇宙。
5桃花源和龙，东方龙和西方龙对打
能看出电影还是想表达出一点诚意的，一半的台词都是普通话，就是香港演员的普通话都比较一般哈哈。其实对男女主都没什么偏见，就是有点跳戏，多希望梁朝伟把simu打倒...就感觉simu演技也一般，颜值也一般...不知道咋选的，so, did America make u soft?
1中文对白很多，基本没有塑料普通话；2如果没有awakafina，电影的深情或者尴尬地方会让人cringy。她很重要。
虽然一开始只有simu的时候还终于get到了一点他的好看的点，但梁朝伟一出来尤其是每次和他同框都觉得simu被吊打😂 乱七八糟的，但确实还挺entertaining。awkwafina真是有奇怪的魔力，明明演啥都是她本人，但放哪儿都完全不出戏。
1.VFX还不如《晴雅集》，大决战的模型质感堪比页游，漫威不懂这种“东方感”的质地是什么，做得特别廉价；2.动作戏处理得很好，有几场竟有很有港片风范，有点儿惊喜，在奇幻和功夫之间拿捏住了分寸；3.核心戏剧冲突仍然是意识形态冲突；4.但电影里的内容，远不及电影外的万分之一的精彩。

东方神龙打败西方恶龙，还有比这更正统的主旋律吗？
场景制作相当不错 而且神兽们也很可爱 但是里面的爸爸绝对不可能是中国爸爸 No Chinese dad would love his wife more than his son.
只是美国人 用有限认知的中国奇观进行的又一次内心投射和意淫 唯一好看的还是中国功夫 不做与时俱进的调研 而做的项目 不是好项目
总的来说就是恋爱脑父亲想救母亲结果被怪兽骗了，儿子和女儿以及小姨和一条龙一起杀怪兽，顺带儿子拿到了父亲的十个大圈
打戏真不错，节奏流畅符合漫威这两年的水准，文化元素也不突兀，缺憾是后面肉搏动作戏太少了打得过于……哪吒/龙珠毁天灭地？整体倒是不像部漫威片，反而让我想起来前两天隔壁的《Raya and the Last Dragon》。
6.5/10 分。初看，蓝光。挺一般的片子，就好像《花木兰》一样，充满了对亚洲刻板的影响。比如什么狗屁神秘的村庄。在商业大片里，打斗也是普普通通吧，结局也是败笔。。搞笑更是极其一般，感觉远不如其他漫威片放得开，怕得罪天朝人？刚重看了《雷神3》《复仇者联盟3》里面的搞笑明显强多了。。。最后十环变成了两个五环。。。啊~~~，五环，你比六环少一环，你比四环多一环。。。整体来说，也就是特效稍微好点，但剧情台词都很尴尬。我甚至都不知道这个人物到底是不是新创造的，或者说到底创造了几年？杨紫琼这些年都不知道接了多少部国外的类似中国人角色了。。。
