The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 这样的真实影像表达只会让人觉得疼，而不是反思。
特定时代、特定制度下的一段堕胎史，对比《四月三周两天》，同样呈现了堕胎过程中的女性痛感，只不过少了体制性的批判，多了一些纯女性主义的关怀。
导演的镜头美学是全篇最大亮点，利用镜头晃动和景深表现出了很多主角内在与外界的关系或态度，构图上缺乏相关的运用，主要通过演员与演员的距离来表现这方面。
喜欢它坦率地展现女性欲望。堕胎有罪，性滥可耻，越按捺越蓬，骑枕头或谷仓偷欢，道德之墙拦不住红杏生长；孕后与男同学第一次是被动被迫，后来反而获得主动权，反正有都有了。
小景别，冷色调，疼痛展示，无男性凝视的女性裸露，导演在电影技法上做的很好，但相比起夏布洛尔的《女人韵事》还是觉得在主题研讨上略显单薄，在当今世界女性受到的歧视其实也是“正发生”，但没有达到更深层次的探讨
正发生，确实，这么多年过去了，这样的事还在发生。
女人韵事有点喜剧元素，四月三周两天则是社会层面批判。女人的碎片侧重堕胎后遗症。正发生侧重于女性的坚强。
一个青少年的心理抗争路程，痛苦与孤独并存！
女主角的痛苦与焦虑也压在我身上，直到最后那声“miscarriage ”为止，才算稍有缓解；结合美国时事，真的是“正发生”。
不如《四月三周两天》，女主角很难让人产生共情。窥私镜头太多，令人不适。
赶巧前脚看了《忍者宝宝》，后脚看了本片。一夜情怀孕和非婚怀孕有区别吗？在一些人眼里有，在一些人眼里没有，恰如意外怀孕后处理方式上的不同和各执一词。性是男女双方的权力，而堕胎的不安和焦虑、苦痛却几乎完全由女性来承担。在这件事上无论男女都必然会进入对女性关注关怀和关爱的视角，这是她们的主场，我们是认真聆听的观众。遗憾的是目前看起来仍然无解。

手持近景和特写给人带来的沉浸感太强了，视听不算新。没有想象中的尺度大，还是相对克制的，但还是足以让人感受到疼痛了。“一种只攻击女人的，把她们变成家庭主妇的病。”
