电影既保持了印度特色，又找到了独特的叙事切入点，不拖泥带水，直切主题。近几年，印度女性主义电影层出不穷，而且佳作频生，想想也是跟世界大环境有关吧。
剧情虽平铺直叙的展现了甘古拜从妓女到领导人的传奇一生，但是从中可以看出她为了维护女性尊严和权利的坚定的信念和坚强的意志。对于传记片来说，已经是很不错了。
我不需要被别人告知我该做什么，要做什么，能做什么。我是怎样的想要变成什么样的谁都没资格要求。不是优雅温柔才是好女孩，不是喝酒抽烟就是坏女孩。为了家庭奉献的女性更不能被评价为“一个没本事的家庭主妇”。不要用你自以为的标准来去衡量女性，这不是标准，这是束缚，枷锁，镣铐
评论区就能真实反映社会对女性有多严格。女主所争取的卖淫合法化，是因为她所处的社会现状，没有办法让她们这群黑玫瑰变回白玫瑰，那她能争取的就是让黑玫瑰们也能拥有公平生存的土壤和肥料。站在道德高地的一部分人，才是最肮脏的。
