The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 比剧版好太多了吧！！！剧版的一些尴尬的点，在这里都处理得好好哦！
给司法部女儿的戏多一点就好了，有些东西撑起“她没那么傻白甜”比让她简单念两句词或许会更有力。随着数人质剧情推进得倒也不拖沓，只是几个人质要是能发生交互感觉会更有意思。
真实事件改编，借一次所谓的恐怖事件，反映当时南非的种族黑暗……影片的细节刻画也很出色，人性的种种令人唏嘘。

从影片中可以看出，导演和编剧带有一定的倾向性，落脚点是对种族运动的支持和同情，因此，对三名参与者在行动过程中所采取的行动，具有一定的美化意思。选取的几个角色也各有特点，三个为自由而战斗的“同志”，一个对种族问题有同情心的警察队长，一个司法部部长的女儿，具有深切的宽容、同情心，还有一个极力掩饰自己人种的混血儿等。影片的主题是把一场预先谋划的袭击案转化为一场不可预料的种族问题讨论会。

很好的讲述了一个高中生对自己性向的不认同。对一个十几岁的孩子来讲，发现自己是所谓的另类，那种纠结的心情。旁观者，其实永远都是事不关己，这种微妙的心态，真的描述的很好。
剧播的时候就很喜欢这个故事，所以电影也一直很期待。
還有一個問題，就是電影沒有去做戲劇處理，他只是把故事說完，但是其中的反思不是說對白就可以說出來的，而是需要去呈現，但是電影卻沒有。他只是在呈現畫面，卻沒有內容，導致觀影者在看完後，除了當下的反思，其實背後並無值得思考的空間。這樣的電影，其實是沒有靈魂的，可惜了這群演員和這樣的題材。
自由的代价是昂贵的，一场以为是抢劫银行的故事竟然是为了纳尔逊·曼德拉的谈判。
有些自由不是born to have的 看完有点sad…
