The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 希望唐顿庄园系列永远不要完结，衍生剧什么都请继续拍下去……
上映没去，终于还是看了。太多pair过于美好，但也可以说是一种美好的愿望。老太太终于落幕了，真的好喜欢她，Mary接过担子继续吧，be the dragon！虽然片子对主仆制度有很多美化，但是抛去那些外在身份，主仆各自都能居其位做其事，也是因为彼此的理解和感情吧。别的不说，那个时代对同性恋污名化很严重，他们也能理解barrow并且帮他keep decent。电影本身情节其实没啥，但我太吃感情牌了哈哈，毕竟是看过两遍剧集的人！
延续剧一贯的慢悠悠但多了些起伏桥段。人物多且内容碎，作为剧的周边是可以的。单独作为一部电影看就支撑不起来。几个小反差小高潮的设置，不出奇，感觉更像传统话剧。不过到是符合那个年代的。巴罗的戏份删到让人在想，剩下出现的意义是什么。不过也能猜到，他应该和男演员有了romance 。
一场热闹散去之后，总会迎来新的开始，有人坚守有人离去，各自的生活总还是要继续的。那些曾经的露水情缘，过去了也就是过去了，如今这样也是一个很好的结局，我们都不用为此有所遗憾。岁月催人老，我们的黄金时代早已过去，属于年轻人的时代才刚刚开始，他们也会如我们当初一样，有一个光明灿烂的未来。面对彼此新的人生征程，互道珍重，江湖再见。
女主真的好有气质，我最喜欢她，她比那个电影女主演更像女明星，气质也有，唐顿卧虎藏龙，除了这个配音的还有写剧本的，当时这个人说剧本的时候我起鸡皮疙瘩了，为那种氛围而起
2022映画第13部，5星。音乐一响起来就控制不住了。两条线，拍电影这条线很精彩，但是violet年轻时的love affair设定就有点儿狗血……不过还算合情合理。南法好美。唐顿看下来真的感慨万千，设定正是那个日新月异的时代，有着传统和现代的冲击，不接受变化就没法生存。从一开始的为了钱娶美国老婆，到最后为了修屋顶把房子借出来拍电影，这剧里的女人们个个都很强势。
结局很圆满，所有角色都有了更好的归属。虽然第一部结局已经非常圆满，但是续集则做了更为圆满的结局，让每个角色都心想事成，让每对有情人都终成眷属。我认为不会有第三部电影版了，第二部的结局已经设计得非常圆满了，如果再有第三部恐怕就烂尾了。
看着他们感觉自己好仇富哈哈哈，希望托马斯不要再遇到渣男了啊！
70分/很华丽，故事也还不错，但有些说不上的别扭
套用当时贾樟柯挤兑滕华涛的评价，中景接中景，估计是预计所有影迷都是剧迷，不用任何客套了。后面还真的渐渐看进去了，只能说是 IP 的魅力——人们不想让这个活在泡泡里的完美家庭受到伤害。
本吃瓜群众代入感强，老夫老妻的长篇小说桥段很受用，满意。

人事有代谢，往来成古今。婚礼开始，葬礼结束，有新生，有老去，有机遇，有遗憾，而唐顿庄园依旧伫立。大屏幕上看唐顿，总会感到温暖又难过，为那个回不去的旧世界。
最后，男男CP（管家和男演员）给我惊喜！给我好好在一起！！！哦对，配色也很好看，经常是橙蓝，饱和度也高
此前因为大表哥的死，弃剧了。时隔十多年，今天去影院观看，回忆逐层打开，原来那么多人从未离开，而奶奶却在此死去……
笑着笑着就开始流泪了。（还有机会看到老爷和太太年轻时候的爱情故事么？
这是一个关于新旧交替的故事，当唐顿庄园遇到了摩登时代，如何与其融洽并传承。marry接过了祖母管家的指挥棒，借助电影拍摄迅速适应了新时代的变化，父亲通过法国一行回忆祖母年少时的浪漫故事，最后祖母的逝去象征着旧时代的结束，而每个人都在新时代里找到了自己的意义。人物繁杂但刻画细腻，让我一个从未看过唐顿的人都能慢慢理清故事的剧情，油画复古画面极具美感，配乐点缀锦上添花，台词精炼而体现人物特色，金句带着英式独有的幽默频出，这是一部优秀且完美的电影。
看的时候觉得少了点什么，回来一搜果然删了近6分钟，想说其实要比2019年的第一部观感好些，但当时我是真的睡着了一会儿，联想到之前的一些片子，实打实的城堡还是要比影视城的古建筑有质感一些……
