The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 非常完美的、幻想中的、现实中不可能存在的鸭。令人沮丧的是，更多女人就算知道要探索自己的身体，想接纳自己，也没有这样的机会。

多人分饰多角的形式除了经济效率外，在阐释故事的团结和谐主题也有一定的符号化作用。适合放在小屏幕上的百老汇，故事视觉化、篇幅也短。

作为一个女性，对这部片子的感受绝不是简单几个标签能概括的。艺术性上并不值得五星（有些情节过于强调符号意义了，反而略显刻意），可是社会意义更大。爱玛汤普森绝对我辈楷模。
二个人的对白剧，通过“深入”了解的过程打开人与人之间的防范。结合欧美文化是一种对彼此肉与灵接纳的唯美的表达，现实做不到的浪漫越是无比憧憬。
