The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 小品文艺电影，换成文学形式应该会是一个小短篇。全篇幅注重刻画人物的心理，虽说拍得很漂亮，但是终究限制于主题，到底还是只让人感到赞赏却不惊叹。值得称道的是男主演技，很厉害。

虽然就是一个高概念小品，而且某种程度上还和机械姬很相似，但是几个主演给剧作增色很多。特别是Ali的两个角色，非常有信服力，微表情太牛了，不愧是影帝。

深度探讨了克隆带来的的伦理道德，本片令人喜欢的是期待了一个乐观充满希望的结局，希望克隆技术给人类带来幸福。

和今年圣丹斯的电影《二重身》撞题，完全一致的故事背景，只是在克隆后的人生境遇和关键抉择里走向相反的类型处理，表演是加分项，效果见仁见智。
