The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 画面好看，角色可爱，只是不甜还腻。

2020平遥电影节，叙事太冗长了有点不耐烦
叙事紊乱，很多东西都只是粗略讲讲，100分钟感觉只过了30分钟，这也导致结尾没什么冲击力，当然剧情问题也不少。画面和音乐倒是加分项。5.6分

告别夏天，来处是归途 导演用大量的长镜头去记录那个耄耋老人的最后时刻，或许叙述不够精巧，但是真情足够动容，因为我们每个人都会有老去的那一天，这是属于我们每个子女的最后一课！！
虚渊玄这是念了金刚经？一切有为法，如梦幻泡影；如露，亦如电，应作如是观。立意其实很高，但奈何放在整个作品里面就挺割裂的。

哎，生活的无奈还是拍出来了，可太过刻意。这片子里就没一个好男人。

这是用生活表达电影
女主遭遇“死亡”的时刻。从阴间飘来的水中女尸与现实里水面倒影中的自己遥遥相望，这一情境使得结尾女主能够再次回家见到健康的父母，不是以闪回的形式，而确实是再次相见。而最后女主独自在自己房间（空间区隔世界）换衣服的时候意识清醒过来，既是时钟停止的时刻（阴间），也是时钟开始的时刻（阳间），这或许可以使片名多一份理解，来处是归途，或者归途是来处。里面蕴含的无不是在人们生老病死的工厂式流程（一是老人的背景都是工厂的工人，二是女主在医院亲历生命的死亡）下真挚的生命（🐻）与情感。
对于处女作品来说，拍出来就已经是一个很大的胜利，把一个故事拍好拍透，需要做很多事，细节的处理及人物的刻划，同时要兼顾整体。2021年10月17日
