The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 在敌占区与肆虐横行的敌人斗智斗勇、顽强斗争的战斗事迹，身段柔软，组织坚韧，渠道畅通，装备有方；造景讲究，画面带感。

范伟的个人演技秀，映衬得所有人都黯然失色。
太平淡了，怪不得评分不高票房不佳，导演虽然作品不多但是影像风格还是有的，可惜节奏和内容把控较差，没有拍出大家想看到的铁道英雄。
制作得很正，味道是对的。但很遗憾整个本子太平了，人设从出场的一刻就是“死”的，无法让观众有任何对其命运变化的好奇心，只是按部就班的抗日传奇剧，这很致命。
嗯…快进看完，确实有点好笑，尤其是那个小可怜冲出去被一枪爆头…女主确实特别，推荐她的解药。那个金发女很美啊。还有黑人男，也不像现在片子里的男优那么油腻。
但如果作为商业电影，本质是猫鼠斗的叙事节奏控制的不好张力松弛变化不佳偏沉闷。从海报来看作为双雄类型片，但张涵予的人物角色脸谱化服装脱离群众且表现的比较平。
很奇怪，两个小时的体量却显得如此单薄，故事也算有头有尾却又有些破碎无法让人沉浸，还好少数几个人物倒也显得立体再加上可圈可点的服化道，没有白熬两个小时。
范伟演得真是太好了，给他加1分。
有道具或美术转导演的嫌疑而且特别爱从鞋跟脚拍起… 无效空镜真有点多，节奏其实可以更利落的。
看了30分钟，不想看了。画面太暗，前面叙事不清，到10分钟左右才大概弄清怎么回事，主要还是没吸引住后看，剧情估计还是八九不离十。就这样吧，缘尽于此。

【6.5】A24的恐怖片还是有其独树一帜的风格的，但中段开始几位角色的降智作死行为还是没跳出一般恐怖片的剧情窠臼。
2.5 我感觉那个鬼子军官脑子好像有点毛病
战斗场面太一般，配角一枪死，主角挨四五枪都没事，立正着往前走，好像子弹都会躲避着他们。
拧巴的片子，导演放了姜文讽刺的梗。谁？我。还有几处也像，但片子能力密度实在太低了，但也比丁晟的好。
大雪纷飞的年代，哈气成冰，范伟是全篇的灵魂，这一展油灯，提起来就照亮了一列火车的轰鸣。这盏灯像是希望、火种，无数英雄用生命来延续他的辉煌、灿烂。
不一样的抗日电影。拍摄手法很独特。致敬英雄们。
